The Oulu Chamber of Commerce honored Codemate Ltd and Valkee Ltd at the Vetovoima 2011 award ceremony. Codemate received Special Recognition as an exceptional growth company.

According to Vesa Ilola from the Chamber of Commerce, the selection criteria for the Special Recognition were "passion and vision of the company founders, international track record, uniqueness of the services, business potential and vitality of the business model."

"Codemate has successfully combined international and Finnish software expertise. Growth has been controlled and the key personnel have been actively and voluntarily contributing to the start-up culture in Oulu Region."
