Mobile application developers world-wide are struggling with the difficulties of making revenue. Only a friction of the mass of applications make real money and the risks of developing quality mobile software are substantial, because companies don't know in the development phase if users are going to buy the application, or if they can sell enough advertisements to gain income. At the same time majority of mobile app users are not willing to pay for the applications, nor do they like the annoying and irrelevant ads on them. Mobile marketing has therefore not met the expectations of the advertising companies.
There is a need to find a completely new revenue logic for mobile application industry that lowers the financial risk for the developer, makes quality software free for the users and that is a meaningful and effective marketing channel.
